Dance Clubs In Brooklyn New York

Nightclub

New York City and mainly Manhattan, might already be known for its intense and, seemingly never-ending, nightlife. However, Brooklyn has its own scene that locals and visitors enjoy every weekend. Ranging from laid back lounges to wild house-driven bars, Brooklyn has something for everyone, including live music and DJ mixes. Brooklynites know that there s no need to battle subways and traffic in order to have a good time on Friday and Saturday nights, because the party has already started at a club close-by.

The Duplexx

The Duplexx is a unique club because of the fact that not only are there DJs spinning a wide variety of types of music, but there are colorful art displays inside and there are often live shows that also put on display the wide range of musical and artistic tastes of the Brooklyn natives. The club has two levels of dance floors, including the art gallery area and a recording studio.

Southpaw

Southpaw is not a traditional "club" but a concert venue that is host to a variety of different musical artists, allowing music lovers and those who love to dance a different type of music to dance to almost every night. Performers of rockabilly, rap, country and rock have all played at the Southpaw, which is a huge venue that can get quite crowded. The club is no stranger to the traditional club feel, however, because it does host DJs, who usually perform the "late" show and allow only those over the age of 21 to partake in the fun.

Casanova Lounge

The Casanova Lounge is a restaurant, bar, karaoke lounge and club all rolled into one. With two floors and an outdoor patio, there is plenty of room for anyone and any activity you would like to do. There is a dance floor on both levels of the lounge, but the first floor is mainly for eating, watching sports or karaoke, while the second floor is where the main DJ and dancing happens. The patio features another DJ area, but is mainly for getting some fresh air and relaxing a bit from the craziness inside. The lounge offers cheap drinks, especially during happy hour and on special nights like "ladies night" and almost every week day.

667 Bar Gallery Lounge

Although the 667 is more of a lounge than a club, Saturday nights is a night for dancing at this establishment, nonetheless. During the rest of the week, guests will find a relaxing, modern feel for a nice post-work evening with drinks and friends on comfortable couches. Saturday nights, though, includes a DJ and dance music spinning all night with house music, funk, hip-hop and electronica mixes.

Europa Night Club

Europa is probably the most traditional "nightclub" in Brooklyn, with an all-night party every Friday and Saturday night. Throughout the week and often before the club scene (before 11 p.m.) on the weekends, the club will also hosts performers for live concerts. The club is popular because of its size and because it allows 18-year-olds to enter, although they won't get wrist-bands allowing them to drink. The club also stays open until 4 a.m., which is a plus for those wanting to stay out past 2 a.m., when other bars close. Europa plays a mix of house, electronica, top 40 mixes and hip-hop music set to strobing lights.
