Wishes fireworks at the Magic Kingdom
There are a lot of benefits to staying on-property at Walt Disney World outside of Orlando, Florida. One park will open early or stay open late each day for resort guests. Guest also receive free transportation all over the WDW property. Guests traveling by plane can take advantage of free shuttle service to and from the airport. The Disney hotels can be pricey, but there are discounts to be found.
Value Hotels
The hotels at Walt Disney World fall into three categories: deluxe, moderate and value. Guests staying at the value hotels receive all the amenities and the extra Disney magical touch that you won't find off-property.
Off Season
The busiest times for WDW are the summer, Thanksgiving week, the week between Christmas and New Year's, and the weeks surrounding Spring Break. Avoid those times and you'll find plenty of discounts offered directly by Disney.

AAA
The American Automobile Association is an "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner." Discounts may include extra nights for free, dining packages if staying on-property, and discounted theme park tickets.
Military Discounts
WDW often offers discounted rooms for members of the U.S. military and their families. Amounts and available dates change, but the discount may be 40 percent or more. Shades of Green is a one-of-a-kind hotel on Disney property that is exclusively for active or retired military and their families.
Annual Pass Holders
Disney sometimes offers hotel discounts to annual pass holders and Florida residents. Check the official WDW website for the latest information.
