Use real flowers to make Hawaiian leis for your party.

Limbo
Play limbo to see which player can go the lowest. Have two people hold a broomstick about 4 feet from the ground. If your guests do not mind getting wet, use a water hose. Use the water stream as the "limbo stick". Play Hawaiian music and allow each guest to try to go underneath the limbo stick. The player who can get the lowest without touching the stick or the water wins the game.
Pass the Beach Ball
Have all guests stand in a circle and give one player a beach ball. Play Hawaiian-themed music and have the players pass the beach ball around the circle. When the music stops, the player who is holding the beach ball is out of the game. The last player standing wins the game.
Coconut Bowling
Get 10 two-liter bottles and a coconut. Arrange the bottles like bowling pins and mark a foul line about 15 feet away. Have each player stand behind the foul line and use the coconut to try to knock down as many pins as possible. Give each player four tries and the person with the highest score wins the game.
Hula-Hoop Contest
Purchase several hula-hoops and grass skirts. Give each player a hula-hoop and grass skirt. Let the players practice trying to hula-hoop for about five minutes. On "go," play Hawaiian music and let the players try to hula-hoop as long as possible. If a player's hula-hoop falls to the ground, they are out of the game. The player who can hula-hoop the longest wins the game.
Making Leis
Purchase elastic, artificial flowers, beads and glitter from a local craft store. If you prefer, use real flowers instead of artificial flowers to make the leis. Put these items on a table and give all party guests 30 minutes to create their own leis. Guests can make bracelets, necklaces or anklets. At the end of 30 minutes, have all players model the leis they made. Award prizes to the most creative, prettiest, funniest and craziest leis.
