Allinclusive Resort Packages For Mexico

Mexican beaches lure more than 22 million people annually.

American travel to Mexico waned in the latter half of 2010 in light of several attacks on both tourists and Mexican citizens by various Mexican drug cartels. However, four-star resorts throughout Mexico have more than ample private security to ensure safe and enjoyable travel. Decreased tourism also means that all-inclusive resort packages are affordable and easy to find.

The Royal -- All-Inclusive Cancun Resort

Cancun is located on Mexico's eastern coast.

Cancun is the most popular destination in Mexico for American college students on spring break. It is also popular among scuba divers for the plethora of aquatic life found off its sandy shores in the Caribbean Sea. The Royal, a Real Resort property, is an all-inclusive, adults-only hotel located in the hub of Cancun's hotel district. In addition to food and drink, the all-inclusive plan includes ocean-view suites, in-suite Jacuzzis and exercise lessons. Rates begin at $425 per night as of January 2011.

Hacienda Encantada -- All-Inclusive Cabo San Lucas Resort

The Hacienda Resort looks across the Sea of Cortes.

Located on the Baja peninsula of Mexico, Cabo San Lucas is known for some of the most challenging sport fishing in Mexico, as well as its relaxing golf courses. Hacienda Encantada is a popular Cabo resort that offers both golf and fishing in addition to many other activities, such as adventure tours, shopping and nature walks. Room rates average $280 per night as of January 2011.

Occidental Grand -- All-Inclusive Cozumel Resort

The Occidental provides two complimentary scuba diving lessons per guest.

Cozumel has a rich Mexican heritage -- dating back thousands of years to when the Mayans first inhabited the island in 300 B.C. Today Cozumel is a popular Yucatan Peninsula tourist destination with opportunities to explore the crystal-blue waters and visit ancient ruins. The Occidental Grand Resort is located on a nature preserve on the southern side of the island. In addition to premium drink and dining, the all-inclusive package includes Kids Club activities, access to three swimming pools, sailing, kayaking and nightly entertainment. Rates begin at $217 per night as of January 2011.

Royal Hideaway -- All-Inclusive Playa del Carmen Resort

The Royal Hideaway offers a variety of land and water sports.

Playa del Carmen is a relaxing getaway for those who enjoy the scenery of the Cancun area but do not want the intensity of the nightlife scene. The Royal Hideaway Playacar is just two miles away from downtown Playa del Carmen, and offers both suites and villas in its all-inclusive packages. The resort has 10 restaurants, several of which feature musicians. Royal HIdeaway prioritizes guest comfort, even going so far as to provide chilled towels and fresh fruit to guests sunbathing during long afternoons. Rates begin at $490 per night as of January 2011.
