Make invitations that capture the theme. Use pictures of '90s icons like The Fresh Prince, Nirvana, the Spice Girls, or Seinfeld. References to Y2K, the Monica Lewinsky scandal or pogs are other classic additions. Be sure to tell guests that 1990s-style costumes are expected.
Costume Ideas
The 1990s had an array of fashion fads: overalls worn with one or both straps unbuttoned; pants worn backwards like Kris Kross; backwards and sideways baseball caps; sagging jeans with boxer shorts underneath.
