60th Birthday Game Ideas

Sixty isn't old, it's golden. Keep that thought in mind if you have a loved one approaching this monumental birthday. Plan a party for a 60-year-old that is magical and memorable. Does this Spark an idea?

Games

Party games can complement the theme of your party. If you are have a nostalgic theme, play trivia games about movies and music from the 40s and 50s. You can create your own bingo game, using names of famous people, music and movies from those decades.

If you are having a casino theme you can play poker and use pretzels as your ante. Most older adults like to play cards, so you can set up a tournament of their favorite card game such as pinochle or euchre. You can also find a party rental store and get slot machines for your guests.

Still Popular

Many may consider these children's party games, but many adults will still have fun playing favorites like hitting the pinata. Bean bag toss can still be used, just modify it for your party theme, for example by tossing it at a roulette wheel for the casino theme. If you want to have a cruise theme, you can try a hula dance competition or lessons. Another cruise theme activity is a fishing game, using magnetic fish and maybe throwing a slipper in there just to keep those wranglers on their toes.

Personal

To create a memorable party atmosphere and to honor the guest, you can create personalized games. Make a bingo game that has information about the birthday honoree. Put nicknames, children's names, year of birth and any other personal tidbits on the cards. Play a trivia game about the party honoree. Ask questions about the birthday person and see if the guests can get the right answers.
