Children'S Pirate Party Ideas

Children love to have parties that are themed on one specific idea. Pirates are an awesome theme to create a party around. The are unique ways to add to a child's pirate party to make it more authentic and entertaining for everyone involved.

Hats

Get sailor caps or find a design that you can use to create paper pirate hats. Have the hats made but allow the children to decorate them. Let them choose what type of hat they want to create. Use puff paint and material paint to ensure the paint will not wash out.

Fool's Gold

Set up a treasure hunt. Purchase some fool's gold and then hide it. Create a map that they must follow, then give the children maps to find a treasure. Don't make it too easy but then again, don't make it too hard.

Bounty

Fill up little baggies with pirate bounty, such as chocolate coins. Add some fake coins and rubies that are available in any little party store. Give these out as party favors.

Bones

Every pirate runs into bones. Put some bones or a skull out for decorations. Allow your children to get into the theme of the party and have fun with it. Depending on the age, you can make the decorations a bit scarier because every pirate knows they could run into trouble.

Costumes

Make the pirate party a costume party. Get your children to dress up in pirate costumes. You can purchase these costumes online or if available, at a store. You could also buy a pattern and create your own pirate costume. The more the children get into the them of the party, the more fun they are bound to have.
