Sending out baby shower invitations is a great way to celebrate an impending birth with family members and friends. Using do-it-yourself printable baby shower invitations, you can invite others to attend a baby shower at a fraction of the cost of store-bought invitations. Adding information to these templates is designed to be easy and you can print as many invitations as you need.
Instructions
1. Purchase do-it-yourself invitation software or go to Microsoft.com, where free printable invitation templates are available for download.
2. Browse the list of template choices; keep in mind that subcategories may also be available. For example, Microsoft lists baby shower invitations under the subcategory "Event Invitations."
3. Click on the template you wish to use. An invitation sets the tone for a celebration, so select a template that best matches or complements the style of your baby shower or that has a design or images that relate to your larger theme.
4. Download and then save the template on your computer under a unique file name.
5. Insert text and graphics, following the template's lead. Customize the template with the details of the baby shower, such as the names of the expecting parents, the sex of the baby and the day and the time of the celebration. If guests are required to R.S.V.P., provide instructions on do so.
6. Save the final draft. You can make changes or print additional copies later.
7. Insert stationery or colored paper into your printer's paper tray per the manufacturer's instructions.
8. Click "Print" to print a test shower invitation. If you are satisfied, print the remaining number of invitations you need.
