Activities To Do On The Island Of Maui

Maui is home to scenic sunsets.


The state of Hawaii consists of eight different islands that include O'ahu, Kaua'I and Maui. Maui is also known as The Valley Isle and is 27 square miles in area. For tourist visiting the island for its black sand beaches, waterfalls and the like, there are different activities available in Maui. Conveniently, many of Maui's activity sites are located on west coast of the island with a high concentration on South Kihei Road.

For those who want to see Maui from above, there are forty and sixty minute helicopter tours available. Air tours include itineraries such as Hana's rugged coastline and West Maui Mountains that is home to Maui's tallest waterfalls. The Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy


The Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy has four different types of surf lessons available that includes beginner, semi-private, private and stand up and paddle lessons that allow new surfers to stand on a surf board while paddling along. The beginner surf lessons come with a guarantee that if any participating students do not stand up and ride a wave, then the lesson is on the house. All of the lesson types differ in duration and some require different equipment than others.
