Oahu is the third largest island in Hawaii, as well as the most populous. Royal Grove Hotel
Royal Grove Hotel is a locally-owned hotel, 200 feet from the beach in Honolulu. The hotel has minimal guest facilities to keep costs down, but it does have a central pool, reading room, game area and a 24-hour guest services desk. The lobby floor of the hotel has several shops and restaurants, including a liquor and sundry store, a grocery store, a health food store and restaurant, sushi bar and a Korean barbecue restaurant. There are three grades of guestroom at the Royal Grove Hotel: standard, suite and apartment rooms. Standard rooms have single or double beds, air-conditioning, kitchenette, color television, lanai, phone and a full bathroom, with tub and shower. Suites are available with one or two double beds and the same basic amenities as the standard room. Apartment rooms are slightly larger and feature comparable amenities, including a kitchenette with a microwave, small stove and refrigerator. The hotel is within walking distance of Kalakaua Avenue and Royal Grove, as well as nightlife and dining. The hotel does not permit smoking.

The Breakers Hotel
The Breakers Hotel is a small, seaside resort hotel on Waikiki Beach, close to the main boulevard. The hotel is housed in six ranch-style buildings surrounding a central pool and features an on-site Japanese restaurant, complimentary coffee in the lobby and wireless Internet in the lobby and pool area. In accordance of Hawaii state law, there is no smoking permitted anywhere on the premises, including guestrooms. All guestrooms feature small kitchenettes, air-conditioning, telephone, color television and private bathroom with shower. Studio rooms sleep up to three people and garden suites sleep up to five guests.
