Fun games keep guests involved in the party.
One way to make bridal showers more exciting is by adding fun games to play. Games keep the party guests entertained and involved in the party. Fun wedding shower games also introduce any unfamiliar faces and give each guest a chance to make new friends. Have games planned and ready to play, to give your bride-to-be a fun-filled wedding shower she will remember for years to come. Does this Spark an idea?
Never Cross Your Legs
As each guest arrives at the party, give her clothespin or necklace. Find plastic bridal necklaces online and at retail stores that are cute to use. Tell each guest she is not allowed to cross her legs. If another player catches you with your legs crossed, that player can take your necklace. If a player has many necklaces and crosses her legs, she only has to give up one necklace. At the end of the shower, the guest with the most necklaces wins the game.
Scavenger Hunt
Divide the guests up into two even teams or if you have several players- divide them into five or six even teams. Give each team the same list of items to hunt. The players try to find these items in the handbags they brought. List items such as something old, something new, a garter, something to use as a veil and something borrowed. Write points for each item and give the teams a 15 minute time limit. At the end of 15 minutes, the team that earns the most points wins the game.
Bride Memories
When sending out the invitations, have each guest send you an email of a memory she has of the bride and groom. Print each memory with no name and paste it into a memory book. Let the bride-to-be read each memory aloud at the shower and guess who wrote it. The bride-to-be can mark the name on each page and keep the memory book as a keepsake.
You Got the White Stuff
Fill about 10 plastic bags with random white stuff such as cornstarch, baby powder, powdered milk, baking soda, salt and sugar. Label each bag with a number and make sure to write down what is in each bag. Give each player a pen and paper, and have them guess what is in each bag. The player that gets the most correct answers wins the game.
To make this game harder, blindfold each guest and only allow her to smell each item.
