Bridal Party Decoration Ideas

Typically called a bridal shower, a bridal party celebrates the bride and takes place a short time before her wedding. Decorations play a key role in setting the mood for the shower. They can range from casual to elegant. Does this Spark an idea?

Beach or Luau

Many couples have destination weddings in tropical locations. If the bride you're celebrating is planning this kind of wedding, give the party a beach or luau theme. Use blue and turquoise balloons to decorate the party area. Add centerpieces made of ocean-blue candles, sand and seashells. Use rustic wood or wicker tables and chairs if possible. Play light beach music and serve beach and luau fare, such as grilled fruit kabobs and finger sandwiches.

Traditional

For a more traditional or elegant bridal party, consider using decorations that are simple and tasteful. Traditional bridal colors are pearl white and sliver. Decorate the party area with white and silver balloons. Cover the tables with pristine white linens and add centerpieces of roses or freshly cut flowers. Small tea lights around the centerpieces are a nice touch, particularly for evening parties. Cover the chairs and consider wrapping a linen bow around each chair in silver or a color from the bridesmaids' dresses. Select napkins, cups, plates and flatware in an elegant bridal theme or with touches of silver. With this theme, less is more.

Other Decorations

The following traditional decorations can be woven into a bridal party, regardless of theme: a wishing well for small gifts, paper wedding bells, a large chair draped in satin for the bride to sit in, candles, fresh flower arrangements and champagne glasses, which make lovely gifts for guests.
