Make it a relay race where they have to put on all their construction gear, run to the first challenge, finish it and run to the next. Have some prizes ready at the end.

Divide your party into teams and have an old-fashioned trivia game. Different construction-related questions, such as regulations and tool use, could be included. If the party includes couples, especially those who are not construction workers, try mixing up the questions or teams. Decorations

Consider an outdoor barbecue style party if the weather permits. Large steaks or hamburgers fit the bill, as well as potato salad and fried chicken. Stay away from salads and fruit plates for this particular celebration. The cake can be especially creative with such a fun theme. Use candy and cake bits to build a construction site on a sheet cake, complete with small plastic trucks and construction vehicles.
