White Vinegar as a Hard Water Remover
Hard water is water that contains excess minerals such as calcium. When the water dries it leaves chalky white deposits that make the dishes and glasses look cloudy. White vinegar is effective in removing these because it is a mild acidic solution that will counteract the alkaline minerals in the hard water.
Using White Vinegar in Rinse Agent Dispenser
To use white vinegar, fill the rinse agent dispenser with the vinegar and close the lid or twist the cap shut. Use the dishwasher as you normally would and replace the white vinegar as soon as the rinse aid dispenser runs out. Using White Vinegar Alternative
If your dishwasher does not have a rinse aid dispenser, fill a glass with 2 cups of white vinegar. Place the cup in the bottom rack of the dishwasher and run the dishwasher as normal. Remove all metal or silverware.
