Depending on the location of the party, a game of miniature golf might be a pleasant surprise for once serious golfers on their birthdays.
Music
One thing that every generation has in common is a love for a particular style of music, usually one was in its heyday they were in their prime. Big band jazz is always a favorite and is sure to people out of their seats and onto the dance floor. For seniors today, crooners like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett sang the songs that they and their future spouses fell in love to and can be a lovely touch during a birthday celebration. It's a good idea to find out the birthday person's favorite music beforehand to ensure a nice surprise.

When folks get older, they tend to appreciate the things that really matter in life, and nothing matters more than family.
