Gift Ideas For Baskets

Gift Baskets are for many occasions and filled with imaginative goodies.

Gift baskets are valued by the recipient and are exciting and enjoyable to search through as one treasure after another is found. Gift baskets are an appropriate gift for any number of occasions. Food items are the traditional ingredients and the quality and quantity of items that go into the basket is up to you. Designing and assembling gift baskets is more enjoyable and cost effective when done by the giver. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Out-of-town Guest Gift Baskets

Traveling is expensive, time consuming and difficult. Demonstrate your appreciation whether the guests are staying in your home or in hotels by making their days and nights more enjoyable. A gift basket for this purpose includes a bottle of local wine with two wine glasses, a small cutting board and knife with a small roll of shelf-stable summer sausage, a block of cheese and crackers and a bag of chocolates and either pistachios or macadamia nuts. Bath salts or bubble bath helps in relaxing after a day of traveling. Also include eye-masks and even earplugs so the guests can sleep soundly in a new place.

Bereavement Gift Baskets

A bereavement basket is designed to give comfort to and relieve stress from the family by taking care of some of the daily tasks they perform. Food is generally given in quantities that are generous to the point of becoming a problem. A gift basket takes a different approach and contains hearty packaged snacks that can be set aside for when the freshly cooked foods brought by friends and neighbors are gone and the bereaved is beginning to regain her appetite. Chocolate coated almonds, imported crackers, shelf-stable cheese, gourmet jam and a variety of shortbread butter and chocolate chip cookies provide satisfying snacks. Packages of tea, coffee and cocoa serve as delicious beverages.

Thank You Gift Basket

A thank you basket shows your appreciation for someone who has performed a service or courtesy for you. Different degrees of service or courtesies require different types of baskets. An invitation to a catered cocktail party points to a luxury gift basket to the hostess to demonstrate your appreciation for the time, effort and expense she expended to entertain you. A basket containing bags of macadamia nuts, almond crusted hazelnut biscotti, gourmet chocolate and coffee, tea and cocoa will provide decadent refreshments after the party is done. Bubble bath, bath salts and body oil helps her relax and refresh herself.

Welcome Aboard Basket

When a sought-after management candidate accepts a position with the company, management welcomes him aboard by sending a gift basket. This basket shows the newly hired associate how valued he is by the company. A gift basket of valuable items is a one-time expense that pays long-term results in starting the newly hired associate off with a hard-charging results-oriented attitude. The gift basket is a treasure trove that the associate will delight in exploring. Premium caviar, smoked salmon, grand cheddar cheese with cheese knife and cutting board, imported crackers and extra-large Spanish olives complete the heartier food selections in the basket. Smoked almonds, Cabernet wine biscuits, seasoned pretzels, sweet butter cookies, chocolate truffle and imported Italian cookies, English cinnamon cookies and other cookies of the same quality enhance the basket. Decadent candies include almond roca buttercrunch, fine chocolates, Belgian truffles and gourmet licorice bridge mix. Gourmet coffee and quality black tea along with cocoa are delicious beverages that finish off the gift basket.
