Gifts for a Class Reunion Welcome Packet
The class reunion can be one of the most exciting, yet nerve-racking events, filling guests with anticipation and anxiety as they prepare to reconnect with old friends (and flames). Creating gift packets to welcome them is a great way to build on the anticipation and set the tone of the weekend's activities.
According to the National Association of Reunion Managers, a reunion planner could be used to assist in managing the entire event schedule as well as any special accommodations and gifts or novelty items. Depending on the budget and duration of the reunion, preparing a small token item that accompanies maps and schedule of events may be welcome and useful.
Welcome Baskets
Goody bags or baskets for classmates can be prepared to include local information such as maps, a schedule of events, name badges, parking passes, and tickets. If the budget does not allow for a full basket, discount bulk items such as fruits, notepads, snacks and gift certificates may be sponsored by local businesses looking to support the event.
Baskets do not need to be extensive or contain high ticket items, but can simply include a few token items that spark memories of graduation time. Things like candies, snacks and photos from the graduating year could be included in the packet.
Mini Superlative Memory Books
Vote for "the best" and "most likely" by recreating a new version of the classes superlatives.
Pre-printed pages can be assembled into a booklet and handed to guests to complete. Then tally during the final dinner with awards given to the best. Create original categories based on instances that would apply in their adulthood, such as those with the most children, who lives the furthest away, or who has the most creative job. The book can be printed in the school colors with the logo and completed with a tassel.
Video Presentation
A slide show presentation reeling in old memories is a way to provide attendees with a visual keepsake. Combining old photos with a wrap-up of new photos from the reunion weekend provides a unique and valuable memory for the attendees. During the reunion, hire a videographer to capture activities and then make CDs as a take-home amenity.
T-shirts
T-shirts are always great gifts for a large group of people. Custom tees can be created with the entire class roster listed on the back with a catchy phrase on the front. Guests can sign the back of each other's shirts and the tee can be kept as memorabilia and framed. Creating multiple designs or slogans can provide options for choices among different personality types.
