Games For Motherdaughter Banquets

Celebrate Mother's Day with some great party games.

Mother-daughter banquets are fitting celebrations for Mother's Day. These banquets, often full of food and conversation, sometimes need a little fun.

There are many great party games that can be adapted to mother-daughter banquets to keep guests entertained and create lasting memories for both mothers and daughters.

Mom Said It

Prepare a list of common maxims or sayings that people can attribute to their mothers. Examples include "Haste makes waste" and "Actions speak louder than words." Delete a key word or two from each phrase and print sheets for each guest. Set a time limit and see how many of the sayings guests can correctly complete.

The Price Is Right

Compose a list of common consumer products, such as milk, bread and laundry soap. Look up the average price of each item in certain years, such as 1953, 1984 and 2001. Have guests try to guess the correct average price of each item in each year.

How Well Do You Know Your Mother/Daughter?

Make a list of personal preference questions, such as "What is your favorite color?" or "What is your favorite place to shop?" Hand out sheets with these questions to each guest. The mothers must answer the questions about their daughters, and the daughters must answer the questions about their mothers.

Girl Power Trivia

Prepare questions about famous women or groups of women, real or fictional. Possible subjects include Harriet Tubman, Cinderella and the Spice Girls. Give each mother-daughter pair a sheet with the questions. Set a timer and see which group can answer the most questions correctly in the allotted time.
