Flyer Ideas For A Company Party

Whether your company is quite small or has hundreds of employees, announcing an office party is cause for celebration. Get employees excited for the special event by distributing fliers. Gather sheets of standard 8.5 inch-by-11 inch printer and copy paper from the supply cabinet and create materials to advertise the party. With a few quick creative steps, your party will soon be "in business." Does this Spark an idea?

People Poses

Get the graphic design team or anyone with computer interest involved in making fliers where invitees will quickly see themselves in a familiar theme. Use a desktop publishing or word processing program to set up the flier and get a background such as a winter holiday setting or party setting with balloons and candles. Snap photographs of other employees or use any head shots on file. Take advantage of a graphics program such as Adobe Photoshop or Windows Paint to crop peoples' heads and bodies out of their photos and paste them into the party scene background for the flier. Instead of a generic flier, you'll have people saying "That's me!" and envisioning themselves enjoying the party.

Most Wanted

Transform the company's president or chief operating officer into a nefarious historical figure by making a flier replica of an old-time Western wanted poster. Dating back decades, the posters were used to capture criminals such as Jesse James and Billy the Kid. Instead of warning villagers about the danger of the person featured on the poster, show off the benefits of the company figurehead with an invitation to the party. In large letters, write or type "Reward" at the top of the flier and add "We Want You!" underneath the picture of the president. In smaller text, add details about the party such as the theme, date and time, and food and beverages. Photocopy the flier on yellow or beige paper for a realistic Western effect.

Everyone's a VIP

While your company may have a single person designated as the VP (vice president), everyone becomes a VIP (very important person) when you make backstage pass fliers for the company party. Instead of just typing party details such as location, time and date, add large letters proclaiming "Confidential!," "Secret!" and "For Your Eyes Only!" Include text saying that the flier is required for party entrance and that attendees must R.S.V.P. to get on the preferred VIP list. Design the flier to look like a backstage pass by using ticket-themed clip art. Include the company's logo as a final touch.
