These scrumptious cocktails are also great year-round, whenever you crave in a frosty treat. They can easily be created at home or ordered at a restaurant that offers alcoholic beverages. Margarita

There is just something about the relaxing feeling of on the beach with a frozen margarita drink in your hand that is tough to beat. The margarita has undergone a number of modifications over the years; in fact, there are so many variations of the margarita that it is hard to keep track. The margarita is usually a mix of tequila, orange liquor, lime juice and sugar. This base concoction has been adapted to be mix with almost any fruit and liquor you can think of. Other ways to serve a margarita are on the rocks, blended, and with a glass rimmed with salt.

Daiquiri

The first daiquiri, named after a beach in Cuba during the late 1800s, is made of a lime juice, sugar and rum with crushed ice. Fruit like bananas, strawberries, pineapple, and kiwi have also been blended into the mixture to create a delicious fruity frozen drink.

Piña Colada

The piña colada was first introduced in 1954 by Ramon Marrero. The drink is a combination of rum, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice, usually served either shaken or frosted. It can also be decorated with a maraschino cherry or a wedge shape pineapple for a more appealing look. There are a few variations of ingredients that are used in the piña colada such as either fresh pineapple and coconut or canned. The rum used can either be light, dark, or both. Most of the variations depend on the person creating the drink.

Orange Freeze

The orange freeze frozen drink resembles the orange creamsicle. It is created several different ways and can be easily made right in your own kitchen. The drink includes vodka, orange sherbet or orange juice, and ice. The orange sherbet or juice can be replaced with a premixed orange creamsicle found in many liqueur stores. It is also a lactose-free drink for those who love creamy type mixed drinks, but can't handle the dairy.
