Correct Way To Address Graduation Announcements

Graduation announcements share your achievement with family and friends.

A graduation announcement tells friends and family about the milestone you have reached. It is a memento of an important accomplishment. An announcement may or may not be an invitation to the event or any related celebrations. Graduation announcements come in two envelopes. One envelope is for mailing and the other contains the announcement.

Instructions

1. Select the outer envelope. The outer envelope is going to be used for mailing the announcement. It will have a stamp and your return address on it.

2. Choose a black or blue ink pen.

3. Address the outer envelope using proper names and complete addresses without abbreviations. Even if the announcement is sent to an aunt and uncle, it still should read Mr. and Mrs. John Doe.

4. Select the inner envelope. The inner envelope holds the announcement.

5. Address the inner envelope in a personalized manner. The inner envelope will be written in a more casual demeanor, such as Aunt Jane and Uncle John.
