Until recently, baby showers were traditionally a woman-only event. If men were in attendance, they were typically bored and uncomfortable. Recently, a new trend of baby showers has emerged, which involves not only the father-to-be, but husbands, boyfriends, fiances, and other fathers and grandfathers of the participating women. With these new guests in attendance, the demand for new kinds of co-ed baby shower games has emerged. Does this Spark an idea?
Guess the Date
Each couple marks what date the baby will be born on a cool, baby-themed spreadsheet. The host(ess) sends the prize to the couple who gets closest once the baby has arrived.
Pictionary or Charades
Play a game of Pictionary or Charades using pre-made cards with baby- and pregnancy-centered words and phrases.
Baby Item Scavenger Hunt
For this couple baby shower game, each couple gets a set of clues for where to find specific baby items, like clothing, diapers, bottles and toiletries. The team that finishes first gets the prize, and the mom and dad-to-be get to keep the findings.
Tropical Island Bottle
At a tropical-themed shower, fill half a dozen 4 oz. bottles with margaritas (virgin or regular). Have volunteers race to see who can drink theirs down the fastest---a "slow flow" nipple can make things even funnier for everyone.
Beans in a Bottle
This baby shower game consists of jelly beans (the small ones work best) in a bottle. Each couple has to guess how many beans are in the bottle, and the one who is closest wins the prize.
