There are a variety of resorts for Disney World Orlando vacationers.
The Walt Disney World Resorts in Florida have a wide assortment of hotel accommodations for a resort experience on any budget. Whether you're looking for a value, moderate or deluxe accommodation, each of Disney's or their partner resorts offers a unique, quality vacation. Knowing what these resorts have to offer is key to booking the right room for your next Disney adventure.
Value Resort
Value resorts are those which offer standard hotel rooms with a quick-service restaurant and limited recreation activities. Each value resort offers both a themed pool and a quiet pool. They also have a kid's wading pool and prize arcades. Younger guests have a limited number of activities to enjoy throughout the day, including crafts and organized water games. Walt Disney World value resorts include All-Star Movies, All-Star Sports, All-Star Music and Pop Century.
Moderate Resorts
The next step up on the Disney World accommodation list are the moderate resorts. Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs and the cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground have standard hotel rooms. The rooms are a bit larger than those at the value resorts. There are also a few extras available for guests. These moderate resorts offer both quick-service and table-service restaurants, larger pools and recreation areas.
Deluxe Resorts
The deluxe resorts are at the top of Disney World's accommodation list with top-notch accommodations, including some suites, for their guests. Deluxe resorts have children's activity centers, large pool and recreation areas. Rather than limiting activities for the kids, deluxe resorts have ongoing things to do. Some of the deluxe resorts also offer spa services and workout facilities to spoil older guests. Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht and Beach Club, Contemporary, Grand Floridian and the Polynesian have an array of restaurants for casual, quick service, pool-side bars, or fine dining.
Operating Participants
Walt Disney World allows some non-Disney hotels on property. These non-Disney-owned resorts offer alternative accommodation options. Some operating-participant resorts include Disney's Swan and Dolphin resorts, Lake Buena Vista Hotel, Buena Vista Hotel and Spa, Double Tree Guest Suites, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Regal Sun Resort and Royal Plaza. All except the Swan and Dolphin, which are in Epcot near the Yacht and Beach Club Resports, are located in the Downtown Disney area.
