Beach Party Themed Snacks & Crafts

Delicious summery snacks and seashore crafts enliven a beach party.

Provide tropical flavor and creativity to your next beach party with these fun snack and craft ideas. Beach party themes include tropical fruits, pristine white sand, sea life, and seashells. Incorporate these warm weather elements into your next party for a beach bash. Serve your snacks on beach-themed dishes with fish or sea life on them, and set out craft supplies before the guests arrive for when it's time to make a sand castle or a beach in a bottle.

Fruit Snacks

Snacks with fruit are both delicious and nutritious, bringing a summery flavor to a beach party. Tropical fruits like pineapple, mango, and bananas, are delicious served on skewers, and definitely bring the beach party theme to life. Scoop watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe with an ice cream scoop for another way to dress up tropical fruits.

Sweet Snacks

Serve ocean-themed sweet snacks at the beach party. Serve vanilla pudding in a clear glass dish, with crushed vanilla wafer sprinkled on top to look like sand. Stick a miniature umbrella on top to add to the beach flavor. Another sweet snack is sugar cookies. Cut out the dough with fish and sea life shaped cookie cutters, and decorate with colored frosting.

Other Snack Ideas

Continue the beach party theme with other snacks. Make turkey and cheese sandwiches and cut out shapes with beach-themed cookie cutters. Fish-shaped cheddar snack crackers and graham crackers are also light fare at a beach party.

Seashell Crafts

What would a beach party be without seashells? Bring ocean flavor to craft making by purchasing shells at a craft store. Guests at the beach party can make a mosaic out of shells or paint shells different colors. Arrange store-bought shells in a tray of sand for a miniature beach. Shells can be glued to clay flowerpots filled with sand or set in the bottom of a glass candle holder as a crafty display.

Sand Crafts

Store-bought sand in different colors brings the seashore to a beach party. Party goers can fill empty glass bottles with sand to create a beach in a bottle. Sand can also be used to make sand castles! Spread a thin layer of glue on wooden blocks and roll in the sand; let the glue dry, and then stack the blocks to make castles.
