A message in a bottle.
Set the tone and make the theme of your party known right from the start with the invitations. Beach birthday parties are popular because they offer so much to do. From babies to teenagers and even the elderly, the beach is a great place to party so make your own beach birthday invitations and invite friends and family to celebrate in the sand with you.
Message in a Bottle
Send out "message in a bottle" invitations. Type the birthday invitation on a word document and print on regular white paper. Then age the paper by soaking it in tea and burning the edges. Roll the paper up like a scroll then stick in an empty cola bottle. Place a cork in the top of the bottle and hand deliver or mail these bottles so it seems like they just washed up on shore.
Beach Ball
Get a bunch of blow-up beach balls. Blow up the balls and write the birthday party details on the ball in permanent marker. Allow the marker to dry. Then deflate the ball and place in an envelope to mail. Guests will have to inflate the balloon to read the party details. The ball then serves as a cool favor and something they can bring to the beach party if they want.
Beach Postcards
Send guests beach-themed postcards. Choose several beachy postcards and write a personal message on the back of each. Be sure to include the party details so everyone can mark it on their calendars and call to RSVP.
Paper Sunglasses
Buy a set of paper sunglasses. Using metallic gel pens, write the party details on the lens of the paper 3D glasses as well as the frame of the glasses. Find or make envelopes to coordinate with the overall design of the restaurant.
Flip Flops
Watch the sale ads and when flip-flops are going for a buck or less, go buy several pairs. Take the flip-flops and write the party details on the body of the foot. Hand deliver or mail in large packages.
